Falcon Acoustics is one of Europe’s preeminent, high performance audio brands.

Founded in Oxford, England in 1972 by Malcolm Jones, original Chief Design Engineer at KEF Electronics, Falcon has deep roots in the high end audio realm. Jones was instrumental in designing several of KEF’s iconic drive units. Notably, under his direction, Falcon created studio monitors for the BBC—the forerunners of its original, legendary LS3/5A Speaker series. In addition to being the UK’s leading supplier of loudspeaker drive units, Falcon Acoustics proudly designs and manufactures some of the world’s finest loudspeakers.

Falcon Acoustics Gold Badge LS3/5A Speakers continue this series’ enviable legacy, faithfully replicating the original, late 1970s BBC design. Hand-assembled by Falcon Acoustics in Oxford England, the Gold Badge LS3/5A is widely held to be the best production LS3/5A ever made—the latest result of the 12 years of research that led to Falcon’s fabled Kingswood Warren Special Edition. The Gold Badge is the only speaker in the LS3/5A Series ever to achieve Stereophile Class A component status— a unique accolade awarded annually since 2021.

True to the original LS3/5A, the Gold Badge LS3/5A’s unique 15 ohm design is complemented by matched, 15 ohm Gold Badge FL6/23 filter networks—made exclusively by Falcon in the original transformer-style to BBC Specifications. Gold Badge LS3/5A Loudspeakers are available in hand-crafted, Italian made Cherry, Walnut, Rosewood, Burr Walnut and Yew custom cabinetry.

Falcon Acoustics M50 Loudspeakers

The M50 is the largest in Falcon’s latest M Series—a 3-way, ported, floor-standing loudspeaker designed for larger listening areas—featuring exceptional audio quality and reproduction characteristics.

Falcon’s legendary B139 Woofer provides stunning bass, complemented by its proprietary, twin, dedicated B110 midrange drivers—rendering exquisite midrange accuracy and definition. High frequencies are delivered effortlessly by the custom Falcon M Series Tweeter. A Custom metal plinth with heavy-duty CNC Falcon Stainless Steel Spikes add the finishing touch to this flagship of the Falcon Acoustics product line.

As with all five models in this Series, the M50 features a planned center speaker and extraordinarily fine wood cabinetry—hand crafted in Italy and available in Walnut or Satin Rosewood from sustainably grown forests. Apart from the tweeter, all drive units are designed by Malcolm Jones, then hand-built by Falcon in Oxford to its exacting, no-compromise standards. The tweeter is custom-made to Falcon’s rigorous specifications by SEAS of Norway.
